Happy Fall, Happy start of the rainy season, and Happy start of native planting and propagation season on the California Coast ~

Welcome to Wave Cut Ranch, and our North Coast Native Nursery (Coming Soon)!

We have been working tirelessly since early 2024 to clean up and restore native habitats on our five acre ranch on the Mendocino Coast. We have undertaken small and large trash cleanup and weed removal projects, all while getting our family and farm family settled in.

We are now so excited to be establishing our native nursery and planting beds! We have been busy building our own mulch and soils on- site (with a little help from our horses and chickens:), which eliminates hauling and delivery emissions, and helps to develop soil health by protecting and encouraging native microbial communities.

We are continuing to employ ecological gardening and landscaping practices, such as: no-till farming, no pesticide or herbicide use, measures to encourage and support wildlife at all trophic levels, and a commitment to reuse, recycle, and use little to no plastics at the nursery.
